TotalEnergies has signed a 10-year contract to supply 610GWh of renewable electricity to Data4’s data centre sites in Spain from January 2026, according to the French energy company.
TotalEnergies said the Clean Firm Power deal will use Spanish wind and solar capacity equivalent to 30MW coming into operation soon.
Sophie Chevalier, senior vice president flexible power & integration at TotalEnergies (pictured), said: “We are delighted with this contract with Data4, which illustrates our ability to offer competitive power supply solutions adapted to large industrial groups.”
Chevalier added: “Our Clean Firm Power solutions are specifically designed to meet our customers’ requirements in terms of cost, consumption profile and environmental commitment.”
Data4 chief operating officer François Sterin (pictured) said: “This agreement confirms Data4’s commitment to renewable energy, which is all the more strategic at a time when the race for AI is on.”
Sterin said: “By partnering with TotalEnergies, we are ensuring our customers a competitive, stable and long-term supply of carbon-free electricity, in infrastructures designed as models of sustainability and innovation.”
