The Husum Wind trade fair in Germany is continuing as planned today following the early end yesterday because of bad weather.
The decision to reopen the halls was made in consultation with the police and fire service after an extensive safety examination by Messe Husum & Congress.
“The strong storm had already abated on Wednesday evening, after which any damage was fixed so that the exhibition can continue as normal today,” the organisers said.
Messe Husum & Congress managing director Peter Becker said: “Cyclone Sebastian created a bit of turmoil yesterday, but the evacuation of the halls proceeded in an orderly manner.
“I would like to sincerely thank the visitors and exhibitors, and not least the fire service, for their support – when things get serious, the wind industry sticks together.”
