Good Energy is to supply 100% renewable power to the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority following a competitive tender.
The company is partnering with the authority to ensure all its properties will be supplied with clean electricity including the Brecon Beacons National Park visitor centre, Craig-y-Nos country park and its headquarters in Brecon.
The contract won based on its lowest cost green tariff will see Good Energy providing over 147,000 kilowatt-hours per year.
New electric vehicle charging infrastructure currently being installed at the authority’s two main sites will also support its transition to clean transport.

Good Energy chief executive Juliet Davenport said: “It’s natural for the park to be supplied by clean power in its role as protector, and educator, of the Beacons’ environmental importance.”
Brecon Beacons National Park Authority chief executive Julian Atkins added: “We recognise the major impacts of climate change and want to lead by example in relation to the use of renewable energy.”
