Pacifico Energy has started building two solar projects totalling 184MW in Okayama and Hyogo perfectures in Japan.
The 112MW Bizen project in Wake will be built on the site of a golf course and is expected to come online in spring 2020.
Chugoku Electric Power will purchase all the power generated at the plant.
The Yumesaki plant, in Himeji-city, Hyogo, will also be built on the site of a golf course. This plant is expected to come online in the autumn of 2020, with all output to be purchased by Kansai Electric Power.
Construction of a third Pacifico project – the 55MW Minami solar plant (pictured) in Gujo City – began in February.
