Hadstone Energy has been granted planning permission for a 46MW solar farm in County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
The 79-hectare project will be Northern Ireland’s biggest solar farm.
Law firm TLT real estate associate Sarah Ewing advised Hadstone on the planning application.
TLT head of energy and renewables Maria Connolly said: “This is both a significant development for Hadstone Energy and the wider renewable energy sector in Northern Ireland; showing that renewable energy is still seen as a viable commercial option despite shifting policy and regulations changes.”
Hadstone director Philip Deeks said: “We face a real challenge to connect the solar farm within the next 12 months, but we are hopeful that SONI and NIE will do everything they can to make this work.
“At the moment we are just very pleased to have been granted planning permission for such a great solar farm site.”
