Qualitas Energy has won the tender of the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) for a 40MW greenfield project in Dalkendorf, Rostock district, Mecklenburg.
The company plans to start construction in spring next year and commission the 39.9MW wind farm in mid-2026.
To ensure this ambitious goal can be successfully achieved, the order for the supply of the seven Nordex N149 wind turbines (pictured) with a capacity of 5.7 MW has already been triggered, said the developer.
“We are proud to have received our first order from Qualitas Energy in June, especially because the Dalkendorf project is only a few kilometres away from our nacelle production in Rostock,” said vice president region central & managing director of Nordex Germany Karsten Brüggemann.
“We are confident that we will once again be able to implement a successful project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania together with Qualitas Energy and look forward to further deepening our already good cooperation in the future.”
Head of WTG purchase at Qualitas Energy Germany Jorge Guzman added: “The decision in favour of the Nordex N149 turbines was an obvious one for us due to their proven efficiency and reliability.
“The resulting purchase and maintenance agreement is the result of negotiations in partnership with Nordex, whose pragmatism we appreciate.
We are looking forward to teamwork in future projects.”
The Dalkendorf wind farm is one of the more than 80 wind energy projects currently under development by Qualitas Energy in Germany. With investments of €1.2bn in the acquisition and development of wind energy projects, the in-house project development pipeline is to be expanded to a total capacity of 4GW.
