Irish geotechnical consultancy Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) has beefed-up its offshore wind team with the hire of three new staff.
The Dublin-headquartered company has hired Alice Maynard (pictured), Gail McAleese and Catherine Burke for various roles.
Maynard will join as principle engineer this month from DNV GL and will be based in Bath, as part of a GDG expansion in the UK.
McAleese is a geophysicist and has experience working on pre-construction surveys for offshore wind farms as well as seismic data interpretation. She takes the role of senior geophysicist.
Burke, who will become design engineer, has seven years’ engineering experience working at the front-end and on construction of renewables projects as well as in oil and gas.
Managing director Paul Doherty said: “Alice, Gail and Catherine bring valuable experience to GDG, further bolstering our team of offshore experts.
“The offshore wind energy sector offers the greatest growth potential for the company and an expanded, experienced, dedicated offshore team will help GDG capitalise on the opportunities this presents.”
