China Energy Engineering Group subsidiary GEDI has completed foundation installation at the 198MW Zhanjiang Wailuo offshore wind farm off Zhanjiang City in Guangdong province, China.
A total of 36 monopiles were installed at the site located east of Xinliao Island and Wailuo.

They have a diameter of seven metres and weigh 1000 tonnes, said China Energy Engineering Group.
The project will feature 36 Ming Yang Smart Energy MySE5.5-155 turbines.
China Energy Engineering Group said the project is expected to generate 500 million kilowatt-hours of electricity when operational.
