Innogy said all of the foundations are in place and ready for the rest of the components to be lifted into place.
Construction kicked off in February 2017 and 20 Wales-based businesses have so far been involved in the project, the company said.
First power is expected by the end of the year.
Innogy project manager Tim James said: “We have had over 50 people working on site on the busiest days. It has taken a lot of work to get to this stage and a tremendous effort by all. This is a major milestone for the project.”
