Gamesa has secured the first order for its new G132-3.465MW turbine for a 198MW wind farm in Mexico.
The Spanish manufacturer will supply and install 57 of the machines for an unnamed Mexican power utility.
No details have been disclosed regarding the name or location of the wind farm or when delivery and installation will take place.
Gamesa only said serial production of the G132-3.465MW turbine will start next year.
It said the hardware is designed for maximum output at medium and medium-low wind speed sites and can be built on four different tower heights, ranging from 84 metres to 134 metres.
