German renewables company Trianel Erneuerbare Energien has acquired the 33MW Uckley-Nord wind farm in Konigs-Wusterhausen in Brandenburg.
Developer ABO Wind started construction in January and fully commissioned the wind farm in late September.
Uckley-Nord features 10 Nordex N131/3300 turbines with hub heights of 134 metres and rotor diameters of 131 metres.
The project is expected to produce some 87GWh a year of electricity and is the largest wind farm in Trianel Erneuerbare Energien’s 110MW renewable energy portfolio to date.
The company, which is partly owned by 40 local and regional utilities, plans to grow its renewables portfolio to 275MW by the end of 2018.
