EEW KHPC picked for Korean pin pile contract

EEW KHPC picked for Korean pin pile contract

Haesong Offshore Wind has inked a preferred supplier agreement (PSA) with EEW KHPC for pin piles and casings.

The agreement covers the supply of pin piles and casings – essential components for securing jacket-type substructures in offshore wind farms – for the Haesong Offshore Wind 1&3 projects in South Korea’s Shinan region.

Through this agreement (pictured), both companies will collaborate closely on technical discussions regarding the supply of the components until the final contract is signed.

Haesong Offshore Wind said the partnership is expected to play a key role in enhancing the competitiveness and localisation of Korea’s offshore wind supply chain, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient industrial ecosystem.

Last week the company, a project entity backed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), signed a PSA agreement with LS Marine for subsea cable transport and installation on the 1&3 offshore wind projects.

The two wind farms, each with a capacity of 500MW, have secured power generation permits and are awaiting final environmental approval.
