BayWa has inaugurated a 12MW wind farm in Germany for Thüga Erneuerbare Energien and Tauberfranken municipal services.
The project consists of five Nordex N117 wind turbines.
BayWa was general planner and project manager for Thüga Erneuerbare Energien and Tauberfranken municipal services, and was also in charge of on-site construction management.
The company said the project was completed on schedule, despite a challenging geographical location in an area of woodland 8 km north-west of Tauberbischofsheim.
The project was originally scheduled to have only four turbines but a fifth was approved a year later, BayWa said.
“The additional turbine was seamlessly integrated into the construction process and could be jointly commissioned with the other turbines,” it added.
