Trianel Erneuerbare Energien has commissioned the 24MW Gebersreuth wind farm in Thuringia in Germany.
The project, which is situated in Gefell near the Bavaria and Saxony borders, features eight Enercon E-115 3MW turbines with 149-metre hub heights and 115-metre rotor diameters.
Fronteris has developed the Gebersreuth project, which was formerly known as Windpark Neue Reuth, with construction starting in November 2016.
Trianel Erneuerbare Energien is Trianel’s renewable energy unit and is partly-owned by 40 local and regional utilities.
It aims to operate at least 275MW of wind and solar plants across Germany by 2018.
The portfolio currently includes 20MW of solar and 113MW of onshore wind across seven German states.
