UKA Group has secured EEG awards enabling more than 600MW of onshore wind capacity in Germany’s February auction.
The company said this represents a market share of around 17.5% from a total auction volume of 3,445MW.
The Bundesnetzagentur added the auction was oversubscribed by 128% and the average awarded price fell to 5.54ct/kWh, the lowest since 2018.
The awards will allow the commissioning of 89 wind turbines under the current EEG regime.
The successful projects are located in Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt.
The projects will complement a current construction pipeline of more than 1.5GW.
“This means that a further 89 wind turbines with more than 600 megawatts can be commissioned under the current EEG regime,” said Gernot Gauglitz, managing partner of UKA.
“This brings UKA a significant step closer to its goal of commissioning more than 1GW of onshore wind in Germany in a single calendar year.”
