BayWa RE has appointed John Milligan who will be joining Gordon MacDougall as managing director for the UK Projects business from 1 July 2020.
Milligan will have primary responsibility for wind and solar greenfield development, project management and project construction for the UK and Ireland.
Milligan joined BayWa RE in 2015 and has been working as head of projects at BayWa RE UK Limited with focus on wind projects and more recently solar projects.
“I am pleased to be joining the management team at BayWa RE at an exciting time as we look to grow further and be a key player in helping meet the UK and Ireland’s renewable energy goals. We are committed to growing renewable energy capacity in both markets,” Milligan said.
In January BayWa RE appointed Declan Cullinane as its country manager in Ireland.
BayWa RE’s UK project portfolio is growing due to recent acquisitions such as the Dalquhandy wind farm in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
The total capacity of wind and solar projects constructed in the UK exceeds 500MW.
