Global Wind Service is increasing its focus on onshore and offshore turbine blade works following the acquisition of Danish company Total Wind.
The Fred Olsen business said it now boasts a “fully-integrated blade department” with more than 100 specialists offering “the complete package of services regardless of project size”.
GWS said: “This includes everything from inspections, cleaning and painting to complex structural repairs and application of leading edge protection technologies.”
Global added it has participated in leading edge maintenance campaigns for many years and built up competencies “with all the current LEP technologies” and access methods including rope, platform and jack-up.
The company is ready to “offer everything from specific services on an individual technician level to complete service teams with project management and full-scope solutions”.
GWS said: “Our wide-ranging expertise covers all major wind turbine models for retrofit work as well as scheduled service and maintenance.
